Looks like the only thing you have is his word that's it's a Yenko.
Doubtful..... They went a little crazy and painted everything body color. Trunk, fenderwells, etc... 124678N349144

lousy job putting the trim tag back on as well! also a 69 yenko stripe on a 68 and it would have had a stinger hood, not a cowl hood

If a real '68 Yenko, where's his Y# tag?.
And 68's had a unique hood...it was the 67's that had the stinger style.. Not that they made any ragtops but '68 Yenkos were first Copo 9737 cars which have MM Trim Tags & 140 Speedos.. Being an export car it's possible it could've had an MM T'Tag which would've made things even more confusing!. ![]() ~ Pete

cabro is short for cabriolet or convertible
the term for a "convertible" , which was a roadster with roll up windows, from the late 20's roadsters used side curtains to keep the weather out the cabriolet was quite an improvement, nicer top and sealed windows anyway, a lot of people still use the term cabriolet for a convertible, obviously still in Europe The DSB black CA plates are WAY off for a 68, so assume they are for "display" only, they would have been from 64 or 65, NOT 68

VW used the "Cabrio" for the rabbit/golf drop top.
