Default 5 blade fan vs.772 fan blade

curious ,what are the difference between the two fans;or are they similar?A couple of things;does one of the fans have a better cooling capacity ,and is there a hp difference /drag etc ,between the two fans.Chris

Gotta believe that the 772 fan and the fan clutch sucks less horsepower than the five bladed solid fan. Just hearing the noise from the five blade version is enough to make me draw that conclusion. Can't say which one cools better but that probably depends on a lot of other things, like how radical is the engine, how much timing advance, and what fan shroud you are using.

Fan clutch and 7 blade much better cooling than a 5 without a clutch. Corvette went to the 7 blade on AC cars over the 5 blade , that tells you a little too..Fan pitch has alot to do with cooling as well.
