Default Sun tach dissasembly?

Has anyone dissasembled any of the blue line series tachs? I assume the chrome trim around the front comes of but I'd rather ask before trying to ruin it.

Thanks,

-Joe

Tricky job. It CAN be done but takes a LOT of patience.................... and even more to put it back together. I'd strongly suggest practicing on one you consider expendable.

Is there a special tool to remove and a press to reinstall?

Probably, but I'm not that blessed. I used a combination of picks, small screwdrivers and punches.
With the prices these things bring today, I'd probably send it to a pro next time.
