CA YOM program for black plates
This will make a lot of locals happy!.Should have sucked up all the NOS one's when they were $100.. saw an SSS set go for over 1k last week!
 Year of Manufacture Plates — Operative July 1, 2009 Amend: Vehicle Code §5004.1 (AB 462 Chapter No. 497) Extends the Year of Manufacture (YOM) license plate program to include 1969 year model or older passenger vehicles and 1972 or older commercial vehicles. Increases the original YOM application fee (Fee Code 017) to $45.

Shelby guys probably would love a SSS plate! I bought a near-mint YOM pair on eBay for my '67 Camaro a few years ago for $49 and change and I thought that was high. They have 67, 68, and 69 stickers and were then taken-off and stored. I guess I was smart to buy them before the gold-rush hysteria hit!

Bill,
I did the same thing, got these ZED 555 black plates for about $40.00 a few years back. They work great for a '69 Z/28 with a later build date. I'll take $1500.00. lol

TK, the registration sticker(s) went on the rear plate and the front plate should not have stickers.
Show us more of your Olds! Love the '65 442s.

[/ QUOTE ] I cant run it in back because I live in Michigan. It was on the back when I got it though, along with the dealer frame. Last reg sticker was 1980.
