Default 68 Biscayne Motor Mounts

Looking for a pair of original motor mounts for my 68 Biscayne Big Block. They don't need to be NOS. I would like to stay away from after-market if at all possible.

Thanks - Rob

Can one of the moderators remove this and put it in the correct category? (Parts Wanted) - it is in the wrong category. Sorry for the mistake.

Do you need the steel perches that mount to the frame, or the rubbers ? If you need the perches, I've got a set that I'd sell.

Hey Casey,
I need the rubbers. There are a couple on ebay right now but I don't need NOS. I may have to spring for them if I can't find any nice used ones. The problem I am having is the wrong mounts are installed and my motor sits too low. My cooling fan hits the bottom of the fan shroud and the oil pan is so close to the tie rods that it is rubbing! You would think the "person" who installed this motor would have used the correct parts!!

Thanks for the offer Casey - Rob M.

I have a complete 68 396 out of a fullsize car. I will have to look at the motor to see if they are thier. I bought a set for my 68 bb nova from gm 2 years ago, they are still offered. If you know the part number I would make a call to your local gm dealer to see if you can still get them. I will check the motor and get back to you.

Jason, could you post all the numbers stamped on the front pad of that 396? I would like to add it to my database.

well not sure if these motor mounts are what you are looking for but the motor is out of a 68 fullsize car and it is complete from air cleaner to oil pan. I got it with my 67 chevelle but I am going to use another motor for the project. I plan on using all the hardware for my 68 bb nova L78 motor. The motor block is dated may of 68 and it is a 2 bolt 440 block. I may sell some parts off it if anyone needs them send me a pm. But I have some parts like I said reserved for my motor.

This is the motor and the stamping is T0517IV with a vin of 18T252641. Things I will be using are the 178 manifold, engine pull brackets, waterpump and all the hardware bolts etc. The motor most likely will be fore sale down the road.
