Default How do I get my money back?

I'm sure I'm not the first to have this problem... I bought a couple of parts from a guy in South Dakota, about 2,000 miles across this continent. I sent him my $590.00 US Money Order and he claims he sent the parts. I waited three months but the parts haven't arrived. He's an experienced eBay'er with 436 transactions under his belt, so you'd think he'd have the sense to keep his shipping receipt or a copy of the customs declaration (I'm located in Canada) so he could show that he shipped the items. Apparently he threw out any paperwork.... how convenient! How do I know he even shipped the items?

Any suggestions on how I go about getting him to return my money? Or... what's fair? Am I wrong in expecting my money back?

That’s why I only use pay-pal . Pay –pal IS not prefect but I have had problem in the pass
And they helped # 1 what is this guy’s feed back ?? I never buy from any one that is below 98% good feed back. And I look at how many negative feed back in that month.
I have seen sellers have 98 % for the good and have something like 40 negative
For that month. Because the seller was a high seller selling 1000/ 4000 items am month
So 40 negative would look good with e-bay BUT not me
I first I would contact the seller and ask them about your parts .And if that does not work I would contact E-bay about this. E-bay at time’s is a big joke . Sometimes they can help and some times they seem not to care. What I found is a lot of E-Bayer’s get upset
When you leave them a negative feed back
Did they cashed the check That would be proof that they even got your money
Not much more you can do E-bay is not prefect . That’s why I really look hard at the sellers feed back . I always go look at the last few month and read all the comments.
I see any complaints I walk. If I were you I would give this guy a negative feed back today . I have found this works the best.

Would your purchase have to go through a Customs Broker? Perhaps the package has been held up in customs? I would check with them before I blamed the seller; especially if he's been selling on Ebay for that long; I wouldn't think he'd screw you over if he's been selling through Ebay for that long.

You might want to check his auctions over the past 3 months to see if he's sold the same things again..........

find out who he used to ship the item, then call them directly, most stuff I ship when they type in a persons name they usually are in there data base as receiving at that address,

taking along shot here, but I bet they will show if something was shipped your way a month ago from this cat????

Most probably a US Customs issue. Check with the seller
regarding the shipper he used. Certain paper work has to be
present to go across to Canada. If the seller is clueless,
start worrying. I can't believe the seller isn't being more
accommodating for the almost $600.00 you spent. Pester him
until he gives you the answers you want.
