The whole floor is the way to go.
Are you going to have to take it to a resto shop? Or are you gonna be doing the work? If so what experience/equipment do you have? It is not the hardest job, but it is far from the easiest.

The complete floor only goes to the front toe boards, so you'll have so work to do there as well.

As said before, a lot depends on either your ability, or if you hire it done. Also be careful of where you send it if you hire it done. I've heard some horror stories latley about guys sending their cars to regular dealer body shops with less than desireable outcomes. There's a difference between a collision shop, and a restoration shop. Kinda keep that in mind.
The dii full floor as Stephano said stops at the toe boards, but does run past, and includes the rear spring perch/torque box area. If your floors a disaster area, that's the way to go. You do not have to put it up from the bottom if the steering column is out, and doors off. You can, with help put, it through the side. I'd suggest you weld in braces from the door jamb, to the rear firewall area to insure theres no flex. FWIW, that's my 2 cents. |

hello guys,
thanks for the replies and i will be going with the one piece floor pan. i think i will let the pros do the work because i really dont have the space to do the work myself. do you guys think im nuts to replace the lower cowl panel too because thats cut up too and some rust on lower section of the toe pans. thanks for your time mark b |

If it needs it due to cutting or rust, dii offeres that also. You may loose your hidden VINs though.
Regular 68 camaro coupes in excellent nbr 2 condition seem to hover around the 30k area. If that cars as bad as you describe, you could get upside down on the value vrs restoration cost. Just something to think about. Good luck ![]() |
