Default When did Chevrolet START USING "X" Code

Does anyone know anything about this Z/28 ?

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tchlink:top:en

The cowl tag has NO "X" code.... and the car was built in MAY

When did they start using the "X" code on the trim tag?

The car has the X33D80 but it appears to be a repro trim tag.

I agree. For what it is worth my 05-A Z-11 has a 010 cast on 4-26 1969. 010 was also in the 300 hp cars by then too.
