I installed new harnesses on my 68 Camaro front enjine, under dash ,and rear harnes/ I followed the GM assembly manual. When I put the power on the marker lights
in the front fender are on. The 20 amp fuse (top Left) CLK,LTR BLOWS.Also when I put the battery cable on the positive post the horn honks once. The interior light wont come on. I have checked the grounds, the streering colomb wires, the interior light wires and the lighter wire.I even removed the horn contact. Still the same thing happens everrything else works great.could it be a factory wire mix up?? I purchased them from Factory Fit. Any sugestions ![]() Peter |

gonna need lots more info, PJ, but we'll get it.
Marker lights are a mystery right now, same with horn. Blown fuse first. CLK CTY LTR fuse powers the orange wire in the dash harness. it has power at all times, even key off, and powers the clock, lighter, courtesy light circuit, and glovebox light if equipped. I would start by disconnecting the console connector and the lil connector for the courtesy light circuit located just above the ebrake assy. Disconnect both of those, see if the fuse still blows, post back. Also, this is a wild one, but check the drivers side door pin switch (courtesy lights) it should have 2 spade connectors on it, separated by an insulator. One of the wires should be white. The wires should not touch each other.
