Want to put some new rubber on the '69 Z28.
I was told to get 255/60/15's for the back but they're on back order for 2 months. Because waiting is never an option, I was wondering which is better for the car (fit and performance wise) a) 245/60/15 b) 255/70/15 Thanks in advance. -Dan

Dan..The 255-70 is a BIG tire. I tried a set on the Nova. Too big. You may want to search the tire forum at Team Camaro.

BFG Radial T/As
I have a friend with '69 Z28 and he has 255/70/15 (rears), and 215/60/15 (front). No rubbing issues and the car looks great. I just do not think the 70 series tires will fit in the back. The Wide Treads are going into storage. ![]() -Dan

Edit the post above.
My friend's '69Z has 215/70s in the front and 255/60s in the back. Thanks for the reply Darren, no rubbing issues right?

Here are some tire pics from a couple of my Z/28s with radial tires.
The red car has 215/65/15 on the front and 245/60/15 on the rear. The rear is a 15 x 8" wheel. ![]() ![]() ![]() The blue car has 235/60/15 on both front and rear. Personally I like the set and stance of the blue car better. In fact, I am currently shoppping for tires for the red car that I can mount on 15 x 7" Torque Thrust-D's...I am leaning toward 235/60/15 on the front and 245/60/15 on the rear. Suggestions? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I hope this helps. Rich
