I have 1967 and 1970 Camaros that I am trying to confirm the VINs to the cowl tag assembly date. I know that the vette guys publish VIN production by month; is there any such information available for the camaro?

There is no info available on early 2nd Gens that I know of.
Recently there was a LA 1970 Camaro on EBAY. Not a Z-28,SS or anything special.....not even restored, more of a plain jane project. Anyway this L.A. 1970 Camaro had a VIN tag in dash of 500001. Car then TRIM tag with assy date of 02D. FIRST 1970 Camaros were built early in January...and nobody has an explanation of above situation..... I have a list of 1970 Camaro ending VIN #'s from every month at each plant. Hard to imagine a "typo" getting out the door on this cars VIN or TRIM plates????????
