PJ

Mine's 9078 and is date coded 128 (May 7th, 1968). It's also original to my car, which is a 05D Los Angeles built 68 Big Block with Power Disk Brakes.

Depends on when in the model year the car was built. Early production is 8515, later production is 9078

car was built 4th week of Jan/68.
The boster that was on the car reads 235 on the front part of the tab and 945 on the back of the tab. There is no Delco moraine stampping on the face. Wondering if its origional to the car.

PJ,

I wish I could tell you yes or no, but (I'm embarrassed to say) it's so greasey I can't tell!!! I don't have any carb cleaner, but if you can wait till the weekend, I'll clean it off and take a picture.

I have 3 9078 boosters and none have the Delco Moraine stamping. I'm fairly certain that the stamping started in 1969.

I opened the booster today to get it ready for replating
and rebuilding. When I seperated the boster the inside
colour of the yellow cad was still quite good inside .The colour is almost a silver with some gold sheen. I asked the replaters if the could replace that colour he told me to forget it. No one that he knows does that plating anymore.
