Guys I picked up a TO 1005 LE motor I believe it to be 1969 Caprice 335 hp is this correct and if so how much is it worth. Thanks Doug

How complete is the engine? Whate date codes? What condition? My guess would be $1500 to $2000 if it needs rebuilt.

The engine is still in the car and it runs ,and does not smoke it is complete the build date is 10 Oct. 05 5th day. Doug

Check again the deck, you have to many digits, is it T1005LE?

I thought it was TO (Tonawanda) 10 (10th month) 05 (5th day) LE which is TO1005LE

The plant prefix is only a single letter, V for Flint, T for Tonawanda, etc...

It gets confusing because for Jan thru Sept the month is single digit, so September would be T0927, for example. The "O" is actually a "zero" for the month 09, in this example.
