Default WTB: 1969-72 Corvette coupe

I am interested in finding a 1969 L46 Coupe 4 spd or a 1970-72 LT-1 coupe. Must be numbers matching, not needing a paint job, no luggage racks.
I am looking for something that could place in local shows but is not a show car per se.
Price range is 20-30,000.00. (please let me know if I am way off base here; it's been a while since I've had a collector car)

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

Over on the Corvette Forum, under C3 categories, under For Sale/Wanted section, there is a '72 LT-1 coupe, Pewter silver, black custom interior, that looks correct all around for $27,500. He has posted some pictures and has had for sale for awhile, he is in California, near Modesto. His name is Kevin. Hope this helps.

there was a really nice red/blk convert 2 tops listed here 5-6 months ago? It was a really nice lo mile car...M-21, p.w. I dont know if it got buttoned up for the Winter or found a new home...never hurts to try.

Last week there was a listing in the Philly newspapers for a '71 LT-1. I called the guy- he said it was #'s match, frame off restored. He only owned it a couple of years. Warbonnet yellow, black leather, M-21, 4:11, had the AIR pump w/plumbing, no diverter valve. Said he wanted 40K. I'm looking for more of an unrestored car, so I passed.
Ad wasn't in today's paper, so I don't know if it is still available. He is in Kennett Square, PA. His #: 610-505-3763.
Good Luck.

Thanks for the tip but, I think 40 is out of my price range. I contacted Joe Conte in Vineland and asked him if he could locate what I'm looking for in my price range. He said that he thinks he can and will contact me when he finds something. I guess I just need to be patient (not one of my strong points)

Went to look at a 1970 big block car over the weekend. Guy was asking $20k for it and I guess it was worth that much but I passed on it. The car seemed very tired and the steering wheel rested on my thighs. I guess I need to include tilt-telescopic wheel to my wish list of options.

Still looking for a '69-'72 Corvette. I had a line on a extremely well documented 1969 L46 Coupe but the owner backed out of selling the car.
I would also consider a '70 -'72 Z28 Camaro in the same price range.

Have you checked out that '69 L89 Coupe at $17,500 or whatever it is on the thread a few days back? . Good luck! .
