Painting bumper brackets/grill brackets

Wondering what would be the best method/product for painting the front and rear bumper brackets and grill mounting brackets on a 70 Nova, will spray bombs suffice or something more durable.? correct color.? Thanks

I believe Spray Gun applied Acrylic Enamel with Hardener/Flatener such as PPG DelStar is more durable, than misc aeresol paint. You can also use SEM's RustShield in Semi-Gloss and add the hardner.
Having said all of that MANY people regularly use Krylon 1613, Rustoleum 7777, Plasti-Kote, Seymour (private label for Eastwood) etc etc. Let the other comments roll in!!!!!!

i think eastwood sells a rechargeable spray can, you add your own paint and charge up with air and its supposed to stay good. never used one. most paint shops will fill spray cans with whatever paint you want (mostly used for touch up jobs) once i found a chassis combination i liked i had them make me 4 cans. used single stage black with hardener and deadener mixed to my specs, worked great for little odd brackets and great for touchups. see if something like this is available in your area, sure saves breaking out the paint gun everytime you forget to shoot a bracket.

On pretty much every part, no matter how big or small, we blast, etch, seal, paint (single stage urethane or bc/cc with flattening agent if varying gloss needed), and bake.

Like Chuck mentioned, many people use rattle can, and have had good results. Myself, I dont have that much faith in them. Especially on someone else's car with my name/rep attached to it.

Depends on how anal you want to be towards originality.....

The originals were probably zinc phosphate coated then dip painted with approximately 60% gloss black.

You can usually see the runs, drips, and massive amounts of paint in the corners from the thick coat of paint.
