Default L72/L89 valve lash?

Does any one know if GM called for a different valve lash setting from an L78 or L72's INT.=.024,EXH.=.028 when the engine is equipped with L89 aluminum heads due to the expansion rate of aluminum? Thanks.

Default Re: L72/L89 valve lash?

I answered this a while back...I believe one of my manuals says 22/24 "hot". Just remember....set the intake as the exhaust opens, set the exhaust as intake closes...
