Default Hemi rebuild

I am loooking for a shop to rebuild a 426 Hemi, I live in Ca. The only Ca. shop I have found is a guy named Dave Timmons up in the Bay Area...a partner of Richard Nedbal of Mopar Engines West. I dont have a problem with shipping the motor a distance for the right shop, I talked to a guy named Larry Shepard but he has a year wait.....any feedback out there? I dont know Mopars that well yet and I just dont want to get burned.

Jeff

Jeff I don't think there is any mystery to a Hemi for engine work....any good hi-po shop should be able to do it...I had mine done at Chuck Samuels place in Morton Grove...

thanks to all for the info. I have a local guy that does quality work but motors seem to get lost in his shop for extended periods...not much to chose from in my little town. I have a pretty good lead and he's around San Jose/ Freemont.

Thanks again! Happy 4th! watch out for those quick wicks and short fuses.
