Rob,
I have AC R44 plugs in one car and AC 43's in the other. I just pulled them and I would recommend the AC R44...they appear to burn better. The AC R44 car has headers and is 'driven'. The AC 43 car is a 'trailer queen'.

I had 44s on my car before I pulled the motor. Pretty happy with them. I will be using them again. I used my car quite a bit last summer to.

Thanks for the info. Just got back from Lee Auto parts in Crystal Lake. They do not list AC R44's. They had R43's and R45's. Where do I find 44's? Thanks

The 43's in a trailer queen may foul easier...the hotter 44 or 45 would be better in that one...
