Detailing the engine a little, who makes a paint that is close to Chevy orange.

Also, overspray on aluminum intake? What about the area of the heads that are not covered by the intake? Thanks.

Rob,
I have seen the overspray on the Intake and on the areas of the heads that you are talking about. Did not do it on mine, but one of the best restored Z's I have ever seen that belongs to Rich Gregory (Lzdick) has it done. I used VHT, but I have heard that Plasticoat make a good match also.

Hi Rob,

Yes take Sams advice and check out Darrens thread..."302 engine yank" Darren will be painting his engine tomorrow. I know you`ll have some questions for Darren. Since your local Rob, you`ll most likely see Darren out with his Z this summer. Good Luck.

Dan

Yeah Rob ask away. I think I have encountered almost every snag. Just holler if you need something.

To all, thanks for the replies. After a self induced oil leak problem last year, I'm cleaning up the engine bay and repainting the engine.
Darren, I will keep you in mind!
