Default 572 in a GMMG ZL1?

Saw a yellow one in the new Chev.HP magazine. Anybody around here own that beast? I'd like to hear more about it.
If this is a dupe, just move on, nothing to see here!

Wow...was it the race or street version of the 572? What's the status on that beast of yours?

Don't know how or if the 572 is modded.
We have gotten a little carried away with mine. In addition to the .090 C5R race heads, removing the a/c, tubular front end parts, drive train swap out, etc. we have decided to put an 18v battery in the back, elec. water pump and F1 ProCharger. Lamar is going to check out anything else we might be interested in at some GM show and if we don't make anymore changes have it on the street in Jan. He's going to take it to FL next spring for some race and see what it will do on the track.

Would they be talking about that black ZL1 Camaro that was built a couple years previous to the GMMG ZL1s...

No. This is a yellow 02 ZL1. Pg. 14 of Feb. 05 Chevy High Performance.

Jeff, I'll send it UPS. Actually, many of the tracks in FL are open most of the year but they want to take it to some race....maybe some Chevy meet around the Gator Nationals. All I know is I won't be there.....unless I grow some guts.

I have the same issue, the yellow ZL1 looks to be the same one that was racing at this years reunion...my feeling the first time I saw the right up was that the write-up wasn't directly related to the picture...this is the car I was thinking of...572 ZL1 Camaro

Yep, just because it says it in the mag doesn't mean it's accurate. Afterall, who would be nutty enough to put 800+ HP in a street car????

BTW - I saw that black ZL1 at SEMA, must have been about 5 years ago. There were guys standing around that thing that were mummified. They wouldn't move...eyes glazed over. Eventually a couple of their buddies would pull them away. I only stood there about an hour or so. They should have put bleachers around that monster!

It can never happen but I would like to see what that car would go for if GM would auction it off!

Only a muscle car can make you do nuttier stuff than a large breasted, beautiful woman. At least that's what I hear.
