Default Rad Tag

On our BO rad tag are the following.
IA
XJ
4
Any explanation?

Chevelleless after 46 years......but we did find a low mileage, six speed, silver 2005 Corvette. It will just have to do for now.

Those are the two tank codes,embossed into each tanks side.IA on the Drivers side tank,XJ on the passenger side tank.
Together they create the BO Radiator.The 4 is a plant code,probably shift or quality control.

Cool! That explains the 'IA' and 'XP' on my 'BW' radiator tag. I found those letters embossed on the two side tanks.

Thanks for the link to your cooling system component article. That certainly explains why I find no part number or date code on my 7 blade fan.

I'm always amazed at the depth of information I can find on this site
