Default Cragar lug nut question

I have a set of new Cragar S/S's with the oval uni-lug setup. I already have a set of new chrome lug nuts and washers that I used on a set of American Torque Thrust wheels and they fit through the oval holes in the Cragars. I'm wondering if the uni-lug design requires a special lug nut or can I use the ones I already have?

Excuse me if this is a no-brainer but I've never had uni-lug wheels and I don't want to screw up my wheels or studs.

Thanks in advance!

You will have to purchase the correct set of lug nuts and washers for the current uni-lug Cragars. For GM applications with 4-3/4" bolt pattern & 7/16" studs use Cragar part #27721-4. These have the washer with the center hole and not offset as for the 4-1/2" or 5" bolt patterns. You can contact Summit Racing Equipment and they keep them in stock..........RatPack.............

The lugs nuts and washers I already have look just like the Summit versions except the shank is a tad shorter on mine. What makes the Summit/Cragar lug nuts different/necessary? Just want to be sure before I spend the $40. Thanks for the info so far.

My mind is fuzzy..but I ran a set on the back of my first Camaro..if I recall correctly mine had long lugs that reached way into the rim to center it and were a special diameter..I also kinda recall a egg / long style shaped washers to cover the lug holes and were thicker than normal..I did not have lugs and went to the mag wheel dude that sold all the cool stuff "Pos-a-Traction" tire store and I recall paying large for the kit of lugs and washers....see if your lugs fit tight in the wheel...

They may look the same but they are not. The washers are thicker and will cover the uni-lug holes in the wheels. I run Americans (original stuff not the current wheels) on just about everything I have and the lugs and washers will not fit the current Cragar S/S wheels. The washers even say "Wheel Side" on the backs so that you mount them correctly on the Cragar wheels..............RatPack.................
