Has anyone ever seen a 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible with a factory "Roll Bar", 351"M" code motor...and 4 speed?....do you have any photos of one?

I think I remember seeing a 69 or 70 Cougar conv with a 390/4 speed and the rollbar. I can't be certain though, that was over 10 years ago.

I emailed some of the guys on the mercury cougar website...and they don't think the roll bar was a factory item...but it did come with a 4 speed and 351 "M" code motor
...which they said that ..."There were 47 1971 XR7 convertibles with 4 speed behind the 351-4V." ...so it is a pretty rare car ...The owner is asking $4900 and it needs some restoration... ...( new top. new interior, paint and other detailing) ....if anyone is interested ...email me and I will give you the phone number....I listed it on this web site http://www.mercurycougar.net/forums/...splay.php?f=18 |
