I was going through my old copy of the 1/69 Rodder and Super/Stock and saw this photo. It shows Bill Mitchell, who now owns World Products and who builds very impressive crate engines, taking a newly-converted '68 Camaro SS 427 out for its first test drive. He's pulling out from the Motion shop where he worked for Joel Rosen. Note the SS 427 emblem on the trunk lid (no spoilers!). The car also had 427 numerals in place of the stock 396 emblems on the front fender and later a Stinger hood was added. No mention of who ordered the car or what color it was.

It sure does, but on the pictures from SCR6, Mark´s car has crome side drip mouldings. And also crome mouldings on the upper edge of the door.

Here's another shot from the 1/69 Rodder and Super Stock article called: "SS 427 Camaro How-To, Building a Mindbender."
This shows Bill Mitchell test-driving a new SS 427 conversion on the road in front of Motion Performance. This is the same car that's in the first photo at the top of this thread. Note the "427" emblems on the front fenders. |

Not sure of this is the same Camaro in the other photos. Note ram-air and Stinger hood.
