Default Cool Judge photo

From "back in the day." Love the skinny slicks.

I wish that was me! No, I was just six years old when this photo was taken. No mention of the car's ET. I love that narrow-slicks look of the late '60s.

Stock classes were limited to a 7" slick. There is still a limit today on the width of slicks in the "stock" class. I have some others and will try to find and post as time permits.

My favorite car and a launch too, must have made a lasting impression.

Yeah, I bought two new 15x6 Cragar S/S's in December and I've been going back and forth as to whether to run 6's in back or 7's. I'll probably go with 6's and run smaller 70-series redline radials in front and larger 70's in back.

Hey, if the '50s guys can bring back the nostalgia hot rod look with big-n-little whitewalls/steelies then I think we musclecar guys could bring back a "nostalgia street machine" look. Besides, think of how fun it would be to have a street car with a healthy BB and 70-series tires out back?

What's the deal with Rocky's Goat? I grew up in DE, so any race cars from there interest me. I always thought it was cool that Union Park had a few of the SD cars.

No idea what the story is behind "Rocky's Goat." I just scanned the image out of an old magazine because it is a COOL pic. No doubt there were THOUSANDS of guys (and gals?) who ran such cars competitively back in those days.
