Does anyone know this car. If it only has 38,000 original miles and is currently unrestored and looks as good as the pictures show it would be a terrible loss to the hobby and original cars for it to be frame off restored.

This car came from Northern Michigan and was with the same owner for many, many, years. This is a very solid nice car that has spent the better part of the last ten years in a garage. Having one repaint years ago if I remember correctly the stripes are painted on as reproductions were not yet available when the car was painted. I believe the miles to be actual for the odometer has increased very little since I first saw the car in the eighties. Certainly a candidate that after a restoration it will be a top shelf car. Originally sold new at Dik Watson Chevrolet in Williamston Michigan. In the vintage supercar photo section of this site there is a red Deuce with primer stripes in an alley, that car also came from the same dealer, I owned that car in the mid eighties, it is also presently going through a rather lengthly restoration. Jeff has a fine example of a Deuce that should be a pleasure to restore, for many years it was not for sale at any price, the old saying of right place right time applies here. Everything happens for a reason, so congrats Jeff, cant wait to see it done.
