Depends where you are on the phone line trunk ,I am at the end of a very long run and it was horrible for me as well, it also messed up my main phone line as well, we run on high speed cable now .

I use high speed cable also. In my neck of the woods, it is so over priced ($45.00 per month). That's with the $5.00 per month discount, because I use this company for my television service also. The internet is blazing fast, but you pay for it.

I live in the sticks so we don't have DSL or high speed cable service available. I can get satelite service for a $600 installation fee. Guess I'll stick with dialup.

The best thing I ever did in four years it has all ways worked I have four p/c s on line right now that is on all the time plus my fax and phone all work at the same time I blow
My neighbor s Comcast cable out of the water his is all way down or it so slow
I now running at 1.5 speed and it rocks When verizon go s to all fiber who knows
What speed we will get Had a friend that had a problem with dsl I looked it over
Turn out it was at his end phone line all messed up If you are haveing problems with you phone it sure sounds like problem with your line and NO I do not work for the phone company I see that you in philly all my friends that live near me that has verizon dsl all love it I know it works good in philly Like I said before check out you line in the house if you have a lose conection it will not work right
one more thing do not use the soft ware the verizon gives you the get on line using wind -poet and get a linksys router and your internet will be on all the time

Just a thought on something you should check out first.

Do you have all of the inline filters in place on every phone in the house or on your line? That also includes your burgular alarm too. If even one is not hooked up and working then the whole thing is crappy working. Call tech support and they will walk you through it. I had some problems at first and they were wonderful about getting me happy.

They can see your line when they are in the central office and if they can't find a problem then the trouble is in your phone system. Un plug everything especially cordless phones and then see if it works. then plug them back in one at a time.
