Whatever was the end result with te guy who has the Yenko rotting away in his yard? Did you ever get in contact with him? What is his rationale for keeping the car? Is it just the ole 'I got it.. you want it.. so you can't have it' ?

Bill,
Short of Grand Theft I dont believe it possible for anyone to purchase the car. The reasoning behind it not being for sale at any price by any method is anybodys guess. As for rational as to why, possibly this car is the only method of attention the owner gets, could also be a sentimental reason, or maybe a title problem through a lein or divorce. Whatever the reason, a piece of american muscle car history is wasting away to nothing through stupidity. A true tragedy without a solution. The owner has been offered far more then the car is worth in it's present condition, only in an effort to save it from total deteriation. Good luck to anyone else that takes a stab at it. Wow! Motown, you were so positive about a year ago that 'others just hadn't taken the right approach'. We were all counting on you. Now, you say it can't be done, it's a sad day indeed.

Motown ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Its the same 'ole story I've personaly seen for years. Although not Yankos as in Matts' case, I've seen very original, desirable cars rot away. The red-neck owner thought he had a 'Gold Mine', only to see it turn into dust in a old tobacco warehouse. Such a waste!!!
