Hey guys/gals (yes, there are women wrenchers out there!), how do you like the new signature? As long as I'm at it, I might as well tell the story. . . .
It's homecoming weekend, 2003, at UW-Stout. We're sitting around in the living room of the auto club's house (a few beverages in hand) and there's a set of vintage Cragar SS rims with 10 inch slicks on 'em. I say to "Tuck" (Jeff Tuckner), "Do those things still hold air?" He replies, "Yeah . . . You wanna put em on your car!?" (With an enthusiastic reply) "Hell yeah!" To make a long story short, there was so much smoke from the tires, I couldn't see the car! I say "I" couldn't see the car, because I let Tuck burn up the tires (they were his to begin with). It was pure awesomeness! There was at least 5 fistfulls ("snowballs") of rubber, not to mention a bunch all over my rear mudflap (no posi), and even some that managed to get onto my rear quarter panel. How the hell did that happen (mudflap)? Anyone else out there have some crazy stories from "back it the day," or were your experiences too lame to comment on? I wanna hear some stories!

No fun stories, but I'm wondering if a bar called "The Den" is still in Menomonie ?

Don't know of The Den, but there's The Buck, and The Market. The auto club has a "Dukes of Hazzard" car door at The Market, as a tribute to Lance (alumni), and his 68 Charger. They had the door made up one year for the annual parade

I'll inquire about "The Den." I'll have to get some expert advice from some of the people that have been here longer than I have.

My brother graduated from UW Stout in 1979 and he was a bartender at The Den. Way before your time, I'm sure !
