Default Camaro - Hit and Run

I was buying milk in the local shopping center, free and clear of anyone, I come out from 10 minutes on line, to be greeted by a dented rear quater panel and scraped bumper. The paint seems to be ok, and there are only a few creases. The dent is about 7-8 inches long and about 5-6 inches wide. What bothers me the most is that the person pulled a hit and run. I am floored. The stupid assholes in this town make me want to move to Hawaii!

I've been there as well. Over $800 damage to an 88 Trans Am I had.. Luckily the insurance I had paid a whole whopping $190 of that....

------Two weeks ago Monday I was pumping gas into my 30000 original mile 86 El Camino.Had my hand on the pump.Guy comes out of the attached Subway sandwich shop.Gets into his company work-truck.Proceeds to back up across 30 feet of open space and nail the left front corner. Then he quickly pulls around the corner of the building out of site and walks back.Bystander saw it all and got his plate number. Now,Im not a confrontational guy,but I say "what the f... were you thinking".He gets a very worried look on his face and says sorry. As he turns and walks back to his truck I say "you better not be bolting".He says "oh no" and sneaks out a rear exit.Police ran his number and he wasnt even supposed to have a license until 2010.Already had 4 DUI convictions at age 27.A very high-quality individual. His boss let him drive.I am looking into the profitability of the business now to see wether it is worthwile to own!............Bill S

Oh yea, did I mention I went to my insurance company after the accident to file a claim only to find out I didn't have collision. A perfect ending to the day. The good news is that later in the week they owned up to their mistake and covered me.

Just because your state lets a--holes drive with out a drivers lic. you can't blame your Ins. company, because you didn't have full coverage on your car. Most Ins people I know are good honest people. Kim

Don't pack your bags just yet. I had a lady try to hit and run on me about a year ago. I was parked at the local park getting ready for a jog and she backed right into me, she would have got away if I wasn't sitting in the car. I've had a few friends that were not so lucky though. When we had our shop in California we had a 68 RS/SS Big Block we had just closed a deal on pending financing. Afterwards we went to the bar next door to have a beer with the new owner. Someone backed into the car right there and took off. Creamed the whole driver's door! The guy buying the car understood and the door was replaced. He was still a happy new owner. It's amazing what can happen right under your nose.
