Hi I have a 1968 z28 rs. It is factory AA tuxedo black with white stripes. It has the correct coded blk and wht houndstooth interior w/fold down rear seat. Also has the tick tock tach and console gauges. It was ground up restored in 2000. and was purchased at Barret/Jackson in Jan.2001,and came with the original window sticker. The car has the correct MO block, heads, intake, carb, exhaust manifolds, and smog equip. Also matching no.M21 tranny W/muncie shifter. I understand only 2 % of the 68s were tuxedo blk. That makes about 142 cars on a run of 7199. How many could be left with this combination? Any idea?

Not sure of the numbers but there was a very nice one at the All Chevy Show in Seattle this past weekend with just about any paperwork you could ask for (POP/Buildsheet/Window sticker/Order form/) Won its class in the judged part of the show.

The estimates I generated say 68 black is 2% of the total population. I'd be real careful of extrapolating further. A good guess would be 100-200 68 Z's were black. Adding further options to the guestimate isn't realistic, IMO.
There are some out there, but not many with window stickers!
