Thought you guys might be interested in this car:
427 4-Speed 390 horse (L36),3.36 posi, 1 of 12. This car was featured in Muscle Car Review back in 2001 on the last page - the Rusty cars page. Ebay - 427 Canadian Pontiac 2+2 All Pontiacs built in Canada were equipped with Chevrolet drivetrains, as they came down the same line. It's only about an hour from me, I may do a road trip this weekend.

Very rare car indeed. Now if it was a 66 Parisienne Sports Deluxe 2 door hardtop I would get a little more excited, liked that stying. Personally don't like the full size Ponchos from 67 on. Nice drivetrain if nothing else. Good luck with the road trip

Redline that is a really cool car. Man why didn't GM N.A. put the engine and trans code on the trim tag??? We would not have the issues that we have today!
BTW I love your site. When will we see it updated?

I remember that car as well from seeing it in MCR. Those are the same pics that were in the magazine, so I wonder what the car actually looks like today. Another year in the Canada elements, could be a lot more bare ground seen through the floorboards and a lot more critters living in it now. OH

What hood is actually on the PONTIAC,does not look like the Impala SS 427 hood,I do not see the inserts on the hood of the Pontiac like the other picture of the hood has.Would be a Real Nice RARE Car Restored.Lots of work but would be worth it to bring it back.
Good Luck Bobby |

Looks like a candidate for a Rebody - I kinda doubt it's in the same spot as when those pics were taken - but you never know. The hood is the same as any other full-size Poncho as far as I know.
I wanted to take a drive over there today, but we had a small storm last night, didn't really want to venture that far away today. I wanted to get a few more pics of the car. Chances are, if I did get there to look at it, I would have bought it. Auction is over, and it brought US $1,026.00- didn't hit the reserve. As far as the Cars In Barns site goes, I want to let somebody take it over, keep the dream alive. I just haven't decided if I want to retain ownership or not. There's a few guys who have expressed interest....

Quote from the ebay auction:
Vehicle Description This is a very rare, 1 of 12 Pontiac 2+2. It was ordered in Brampton Ontario and has the 427-390 HP engine (L36). The trans is the Muncie 4 speed (M-20). It has a positraction 3.36:1 rear end. It has few other options except a remote left mirror. Power steering but manual drum brakes. I have all the GM documentation for this car. It is not barn fresh but is parked behind my barn!! Vehicle Condition This vehicle has seen better days. Its condition could be described as "POOR" In other words , bring a truck. This car has not been apart and I have owned it since 1978. It has never had any friends and the years of use and abuse have taken their toll. It has a very strong and lurrid oral history .I bought it for the power train for a hot rod but I ended up driving it for a long time. Then the firewall split and about the same time the frame came apart. To much power. It was runing well when I parked it. It was featured in Muscle Car Review Jan 2001. Terms of Sale What you see is what you get. Everything is there and you really can not fix this body. Notice on the firewall tag it states engine and trans. Love these Canadian cars!!!!!! Looks like crank windows in this pic.....
