Default Yenko Blocks

Do anybody know how many block Yenko made?
As far as I know they made most of the blocks for racing and
boats. And I think most of the blocks is talldeck`s.
The block we have here is a shortdeck-block that I found in Southern Germany last summer.
The guy we bought it from has bought it in a swapmeet in USA
1988 and brought it home to Germany.
He did think it is made in the early 70`s, but we don`t know for sure.
The block have screw in freezeplugs and Yenko with crest, and is never used before.
Regards Janne.

Default Re: Yenko Blocks

I don't think anyone really has a firm # on how many were produced, but they were definitely an early '70s and later item.

They came in several varieties, from tall deck and short deck, to srew in or press in freeze plugs, water jackets or not, etc. We would have traded a Yenko tall deck block for his short deck block! Just think of the cubic inches he could get out of a tall block (hint hint) .
