Peter, I am not an authority but I would think the badges would go where they were placed on the car at Mr. Don Yenko's dealership in Penn.
Just an idea............. |

I think he's talking about the Muskatel Chevrolet badge....the same one they would put on an Impala, sold at that dealoership.
On a similar subject, on Cannonsburg sold Yenko Camaros, did they have the dealtership badge? If so, where was it placed, on a 69 Yenko Camaro? |

There is a guy in our Camaro club who has a Yenko from Cannonsburg, Penn dealer and a ZL-1 from Fred Gibb Chevrolet in Laharpe ILL..
I will try to contact him for info. Sorry about the mistake in what you were asking for, as it is hard to converse via a keypad. Joel/ILLCAMCLUB |

Yeah sure he has both a Yenko and a ZL1. Next you'll be telling us that he wrote the book on COPOs, or something.

No I would not be so pretentious as to say he wrote a book or something like that, but here is his computer address http://www.outfitters.com/illinois/hancock/laharpe.html I know for a fact he owns a ZL-1
but I am not sure about the Yenko though. His name is Ken Brown...........If you go to www.illinoiscamaroclub.org you can see pictures of his ZL-1...........Joel |

Not to be a "know-it-all" or anything, Joel, but I don't Ken think owns a ZL-1 or a Yenko...or at least he hasn't had it at the La Harpe show.
The ZL-1s in the pictures on the ICC page are Stuber, Barnhart, and Porterfield (with a big picture of Porterfield's car). In 2 of the last 3 years, the only '69 Yenko Camaro present at the show in La Harpe has been our yellow Yenko Camaro. The reason Ken's name is by the pictures is that he is the mayor of La Harpe, and is in charge of the show...and a REALLY nice guy on top of that! But, as far as we know, Ken doesn't own a Supercars. |

Joel,
I was trying to be facetious. There are a few list members/collectors who are fortunate enough to own both a Yenko and a ZL1. The person I was referring to is our own, Ed Cuneen. He is the only person that I am aware of here in Illinois to own both the Super Cars you mentioned. BTW, he did write the Book on COPOs ![]() |

I did not know that gentlemen. I stand corrected and unguarded in my assumption. You know how the saying goes, "the tale gets taller on down the line". Well by the time I recieved that info the story equalled the Sears Tower in stature. Again I apoligize for wasting everyones time........Joel

WOW, ok... Yes The car was delivered to Muscatell with the YENKO stuff in place but I was just trying to find out about the selling dealer badge i.e. "Muscatell" as this was not a practice on the west coast alls you got out here was a lic. plate frame that told everyone where you were taken! Ever see the movie "FARGO"? Now how would you like to be a sales person on a car lot in FARGO? If I lived their I would do just like the name sugests Far... Go. Any way thanks for your input. Pete
