Default another copo question

I am into Pontiacs but I came across a 69 copo camaro with aluminum 427 motor for sale. Is there any way to document(pontiac kept these records and you can buy the build sheets on) this as an original car? Are there any ways to authenticate,by vin no:, data plates, tags on car, etc.? thanks

With a Aluminum 427 you would be referring to a ZL1. You only need the vin # to confirm a ZL1. The vin #'s are public knowledge. Good luck.

Thanks fellows on the good information. I can go now with valuable info on what car it is. The internet is a good thing. "I,m glad Al Gore invented it."

If you post the VIN and trim tag, we should be able to tell if it's a COPO.
Let us know how you make out.
