Default 2nd Gen Motion clone in MN?

Has anyone here seen a 70-73 Motion Camaro clone in MN? I saw this car at a "Back to the 60's" show about 1989. I talked to the owner very briefly and he was surprised that I knew what it was (said he cloned it..). The car was red w/ black motion stripes..and that's about all I remember about it. Any clues?

I cannot say that I ever remember seeing this car and I think I would remember it. I showed cars quite heavily in the 80's but don't recall seeing it at any of them. I will ask around for you however.

Could this be in Nebraska now? Joel says he's been asked about "this" car so many times since it's a common clone that he dreams about it in his sleep.

One of these, and I believe the fellow is here, owns a real one though. It's in nebraska as well, or was.

To be quite honest, I don't remember looking at the plates and haven't seen it since. I may have to make a trip up to University Ave. to scope out the cruises. What I do remember is that the car was a darker red w/ black stripes, L-88 hood, Motion logo's on the valve covers. I didn't know much about them at the time (I'd only seen the write up in MCR about the Cranberry red "Beast"). I'd just like to see the car again to check it out more thoroughly. I remember the guy being quite nice and forthright about it being a clone.
Hey Mike, any updates on the magazine article project for the site?

I haven't been able to focus on the motion article stuff lately. I'll try and work it into my schedule. Joel doesn't get all excited about when I ask about car stuff so I'm pretty much on my own and I rely heavily on you guys contributions for info.

I keep working on him though. I told him I'm going to grab him and haul him off to super chevy or one of these reunions sometime. Wether he likes it or not.

I'll be at the CarCraft Summer Nationals this summer at the MN State Fairgrounds, with "Little Hoss" in July. I'll try and look for it.

I have to make a point to cruise up there this summer (from Mankato). If nothing else just to see "Little Hoss" in person and to say hi.
