Mark,
I am not positive but I think A&A Fiberglass was a source for those hoods. I know they also made many pieces for some of the Trans Am supercars too. Anyone else have a clue? - Jon

Invoice just includes it with the Whale tail at 475.00 the hood at 269.95. The front Air Dam cost 144.80.

Someone said they didn't like the tail on one post or had some negative comment but I think it looks very cool. The hood and tail sure sets it apart from others.Looks like one MEAN MUTHA coming or going down the road I bet.I bet you don't have too much trouble selling it,What happened to Viperich he was looking for a nice Super Car,this should fill his needs,I bet it will give his Viper a run for the money!!

I never read that his viper was stock,I don,t think a stock viper would keep up with it,but there are some vipers with modifications made to them like the camaro has to it and I would bet that they could stay pretty close!!There is a guy Here in Houston about 60 uears old that has a viper with modifications to it that he don't reveal and it kicks plenty of fast cars %^&*
when I say fast cars one is a 70 nova that is built up very well pushing almost 600 hp and the viper busted his bubble!!Now don't get me wrong,I love chevys and I don't like seeing them get beat but, sometimes they do!! |

God, if only I had the $$!
Charlie, does it say on the invoice where that hood was sourced from? I love the look! ..Kind of a hybrid between an L-88 and cowl. -Mark

Joe,
Motion had those hoods in their catalogs?Did they make them or just sell them? I had an 80 Turbo T/A with that same Whale Tail and it had the A&A tag on it. That car was a Dealer hop up car like the Yenko's and Motion's. My Trans Am was built in California. The guy I got the car from had the Dealer invoice and the window sticker for the car. He said that A&A trunk lids were used on some of the Camaro's too. I thought they also made those hoods. Either way, that Camaro looks like a great find! - Jon

Jon,
Motion didn't do any manufacturing that I know of. They used various vendors then put Motion decals on the parts. Joel did design some of his own fiberglass parts and had them built to his specification. I do not know if the hood on the 80 Camaro is a Motion design or was just ordered from a fiberglass Co. existing stock. |
