Default How To Identify 1st Gen L-78 ...........

While at The Charlotte Autofair I saw several 69 SS Camaros for sale, one with a L-89 no less and another L-78 as claimed by the seller. Neither car had any documentation what so ever. I have the old Camaro Enthusiast magazine from 1994 that explains some of the X-codes........but would this boards members please tell me some facts about L-78 and 1969 L-89 trim tags and other tell tail signs.......thanks, chuck

chuck, you need to buy a copy of jerry macneish's "the definitive 1969 camaro z/28-ss396 fact book". it's the only reference you'll need. call jerry at 410-781-0418 (he's on the east coast so call early our time), tell him i sent you, and he'll have your copy in the mail before the day's out. tell him what you're looking for and he'll keep an eye out for you in case your dream car pops up over on his end of the coast.
