Default 69 COPO chevelle buildsheet

Saw this over at Team Chevelle. Think it is an undiscovered one. Guy said he paid $500 for the car and is trying to get the original drivetrain from the previous owner. home1.gte.net/web22np5/document.jpg

COPO;

I am new to the COPO world. What information is on the build sheet that indicates that this may be an "undiscovered car"? Could this be a COPO car?

This is a COPO Chevelle. First clue is the "KQ" code in box 29 of the buildsheet. This is the code for the COPO only 4.10 HD posi rear. Also on the lower left side you see the numbers "9566BA" which is the COPO code. It is "undiscovered" because the owner that just sold it was not aware it was a COPO. Hell, he sold it for $500. I do not believe this VIN was on Ed Cunneen's COPO sheets.

The only thing that looks odd is box 27 of the buildsheet looks like "MP" which is 427/425hp MANUAL, but this is a turbo 400 car. Should be "MQ". Other question is COPO 9566BA shown. Was thinking it should be 9562BA?? Any ideas?

I have 3 different COPO build sheets. Two sheets are 9566AA with MQ 8 in box 27. One has an M-21 trans. And the other sheet has a ZW1 COPO TRANS-M22. The last sheet is a 9566BA with MP 8 in box27. Could the 9562BA COPO stand for a double COPO?

The 1969 COPO Chevelle is # 9562 with eight different ECL codes (AA,BA,CD,CE,DD,DE,EA,FA)that specified the combination of the transmission, the seats, the springs, and the tires. In addition to the eight 9562 XX codes Chevy added two more - the 9566 AA and 9566 BA which are the same as the 9562 EA and 9562 FA combinations with the exception of tires. That makes a total of ten COPO numbers for the 1969 Chevelles. Yenko added his COPO 9737 (which included the 15x7 Wheels) to use as a combination with the COPO option 9562. The Yenko Chevelle is a double COPO. This is from the Chevy documentation that is included in Ed's COPO book.

The engine suffix code for a 1969 chevelle four speed is MQ. The engine suffix code for a 1969 chevelle auto is MP. If you are using Alan Colvin book to ID these numbers, he has a misprint on page 51 of his book. I have my build sheet plus several others which confirm this. I would post some examples but I dont know how to do that yet. Back to the build sheet at team chevelle sight, this sheet is not set up like any of the ones whick I am looking at.

As to the 9562XX, none of the 56 COPO's I have longed, have that code, all are 9566XX. Many of the copies I have, include Z codes, which I have most, if not all, broken down. My COPO Chevelle,with build sheet, has Four Z codes. It is a very load car, compared to most,(2 like it). If any one has a build sheet with the 9562XX, I would like to see/talk to you. I beleive this was the early stages, for the CHEVELLE.
