While looking for a battery hold down bracket, I found a box of items. Hoping to get some help in identifying them. What they are and year of usage. The black nylon strap has 2.75 and Patent 2,937,834 Thanx... Danny

Looks like a console bracket, but don't know the year. Has a "P" stamp. Last 2 Shift boot brackets. But don't know the difference between the square and the offset one. Thanx... D

# 6 is the metal tube with brackets at each end.
Console bracket has no number in post. I have a couple console brackets but they don't have the upper center piece. I could be wrong, as they are not handy. So I was wondering the year. |

Been thinking for a long time that there should be a special "Thread" or "Gallery" where members could place photos of items they have no idea what they are. Lots of knowledge on this site....probably an equal amount of "mystery" parts on our shelves out there..
How great would that be... |

I believe the tube #6 is for starter wires. One end bolt to the starter and the other end uses a transmission bolt to hold it on place. #3 bolts to the bottom of the block and holds automatic transmission cooler lines.

#3 is transmission line bracket, bolted to engine via the oil pan bolts. Looks like Chevrolet, but may have been used across multiple GM lines. #2 used to hold wire bundles to inner fenders and core support, again Chevrolet. #5 is wrapped in wire bundles and align with pre-punched holes around the car usually in the engine compartment and taillight wiring harnesses. #6 I got one of those in a box of parts with my Camaro. I thought it was for my BB starter wires, but was told not on a Chevrolet possible Pontiac.

#4 is a specific 68/69 Camaro front console bracket used only on cars with gauges.
The small upper section (on the top of the bracket base) is designed so the gauge package wiring harness has a place to be routed through. The only problem with yours is that somebody cut off one side of the top bracket. Paul |
