I went to Austria in 2015 with Pat Ryan when he went to view and purchase the #16 car. It had been sent to Europe after the '67 season.

I had the pleasure of judging the trans am race class at Arizona Concours last week. The class included The Penske 68 Camaro owned by Tom McIntyre and the 67 Allen Green z28.
I bought a book written by David Tom on the history of Trans Am and the “rule bending” that took place. Jon Mello is mentioned several times in the book.
Tom McIntyre and David Tom were part of a seminar, hosted by Lynn St.James on the subject of bending the rules. It was fascinating.
