on a 68 nova subframe there is 1/4 inch thick steel spacers on top of the bushing are these as needed or do all 4 points get the spacer

yes they are needed or fenders wont line up! and just the mounts under the firewall

the car I am working on had them only on the bushing under the firewall I bought a 68 parts car and it had them on firewall bushing and rear bushings ?

I've only seen them on the frt under the fire wall. Have not seen them on all 4's on any of the 68's that we've had, but wouldn't rule it out. Probably falls in the same catagory as 68 rocker curtains. Lots of changes from early build to later.

the car with all 4 spacers is a 4 door car & the car that only had 2 is a 2 door car

Same here only seen them on the front of sub frame.
