Indeed it is. Hopefully the owner is ready for the inevitable opinions from the more skeptical portions of the hobby.

I took a chance on finding this car years ago. I bought a 60 that was raced in florida as a drag car (had the florida registration from the late 60s on the windshield). Rumors were out there, the missing car should be in Florida (and guess what, that rumor turned out to be true!!!!). Had the white body under the ratty black paint. had the blue interior they were supposed to have (covered by black tuffeted vinyl). Had YELLOW euro fender marker lights added to it which was odd, which caused me to pull the trigger. Rolled the dice on the detroit ebay ad, and for $25K I took the chance. Turned out obviously not to be the car, but quickly sold it to a guy in Wisconsin for what I paid for it. It had one rare wide wheel in the trunk which I kept (which was another thing that made me pull the trigger).

A cool half-mill to restore a two-seat, fiberglass car to nearly stripped LeMans condition? ....ummm....wow, ok
Dem's some serious labor rates.

That was a great video! It makes me appreciate a 1960 vette I have that was in a race (#6) with Dick thompson driving another corvette (#11), in sept of 61, at road america in Wisconsin. I never saw those videos before, nor a video of dick thompson. Cunningham was at that same race, but racing foreign cars (Coopers and a Lotus), and not corvettes. Glad you posted that for my sake.
