Default battery clamp bolt ID

can some one help me? i sold a clamp and this bolt was in the bag of parts with it...but i didnt put it together they went together til today....and not sure if its even right, I parted a 69..it fits the groove mark in the clamp where it was tightened down,..perfect..and i can see the saw tooth mark in the clamp..and i believe its the correct one...but never paid attention to whats correct...opinions please...i am sure they where together on the car..and its so nice..the head isnt stripped...the threads arent galded and theres no acid corrosion..ive seen acid eat half the head off...i just believe its right...the car didnt have a battery in it for 30 years so chances are its right

i looked around on the web..and theres a reproduction out there that pretty close but no head marking and the flange is a little diff..but its close and they are calling it a near "perfect" reproduction...

I used to work for the company that made that bolt, and we made many nuts and bolts that were for GM, Ford Chrysler and AMC, but I don't think that would have been one of the items that we sold to GM for their assembly line production, but I'm really not sure.

i parted a 68 firebird and 69 camaro out at the same time a few years back and didnt keep the stuff organized like i should have...more than a few..like a decade now...time flies...

Mark,

Here's a couple of pix of the bolt that came out of my 69 Camaro battery hold-down (14K original miles). The washer is captured.

The factory used to style bolts for the hold down. Hard to say when the switchover was I've seen many 69's with a blunt tip like Phils and I've seen many with a pointed tip, here's some pictures of originals. The original blunt tip headmarkings are LF + SEMS. Other original headmarkings would be F, Anchor, E, Anchor over Tee, Rbw, E in circles. These are tough to find in good shape there almost always pitted badly from the battery acid.
The second style bolt that was used had a pointed tip, both the pointed and blunt tip bolts measure 1 inch long from under the washer to the end of the bolt. Head markings I've seen for those are, ELH, EL, RBW + B&H.
