Default 1969 Yenko Tribute - Exhaust Recommendation

Guys,

I own a '69 Yenko Tribute/Clone/Recreation. Real L72 COPO block currently with stock exhaust manifolds and a repro chambered exhaust. I am looking to replace the chambered exhaust, and possibly, swap out the manifolds for headers.

I am looking for a recommendation on a new exhaust system that will give me a nice, loud sounding exhaust. Nothing too generic or over the top loud, but can be heard coming down the street.

My current setup is too quiet, which leads me to believe that the repro exhaust system is crap. A real chambered exhaust system was crackle and pop loud from what I have heard.

Thanks,
Matt

For selfish reasons, I would love to see a few pics. Might help with recommendatios to see what wheel/tire combo you have and other style influences.

As you can see, a very stock look. It's pretty darn close to exact Yenko/COPO specs.

I've never been much of a fan on how most 2.25" systems sound. I would simply run some 2.5 Walker Turbo and a decent local mufflershop pipe bend and install. Just what would have been done back when the headers went on in 1969. You can't go wrong with a traditional day 2 exhaust!

I would suggest the Pypes system with the Racepro muffler, nice rumble at idle (almost sounds stock) but will really sound good when you get on it.
