It's August 1986 and my brother just came home from helping grandpa mow his fields. And on his way home just happened to spot a 69 Chevelle SS396 for sale. Mean while my brother had his own 70 SS396 chevelle and I had my 72 SS Nova a year already, so who wanted this chevelle... Yup, mom was excited to drag dad to go see the chevelle that night. The deal was struck and mom and dad now were the proud new owner's of a two owner 73 thousand mile glacier blue, auto and air all original with loads of paperwork. Protect-o-plate, shipper sheet, pre-delivery sheet, bill-o-sale, orig N.C. title, bill-o-sale from the orig owner and factory dealer plate. My parents buying this chevelle was the greatest thing for our family with all the car shows we did together and fine people we meet was priceless. Fast forward to about 2004 and mom's health was starting to fail and my brother and I were anxious to get the car repainted for her. The car was packed up and shipped to Arone Autobody for its repaint and unfortunately time was not on our side and mom passed in the summer of 05'. So now the fast track was slowed down and brought home the following year for dad to enjoy and then lightning struck again and dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Poor car was set on the back burner again. Between dealing with settling the family estate for the next year and a half and 25 thousand plus dollars [img:center]http://[/img]
