I need a good original Delco plastic cap for a #910 starter solenoid. I'd buy the whole solenoid if need be. The application would be 1962. The styles of these changed slightly with application for some reason and I haven't been able to match one up with any other originals I have.
Thanks Verne |

The broken one is a 910 also and shows the bottom style nicely without the hardware. The other two are supposed to be 910s. The "pair" photo shows a 356 on the right to show the subtle differences. I know it sounds a little anal to worry about the "correct" cap when almost any of them would work, but I want the car to have the "right stuff".

That's strange. I wonder why Chevy would have kept the same p/n and changed it to HD. Maybe by that time, GM packaged one made by someone else as long as it met the original spec? Is the p/n stamped on the can? I'd love to see pics.

D969 is the short Delco Remy number for a complete solenoid. 1114356 is the long GM number for the same complete solenoid. A lot of rip off brands make their boxes look a lot like GM boxes, but I've never seen a rip off box with the pull string like on an original Delco.
