Hello again! This is my second post. Way back when, in 1969, [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif[/img] I was a member of this car club in Las Vegas. We had great people and great race cars. One of those members was Ken Black of K&amp;B racing fame. You know who he is. He owns both Summit Pro Stock cars and fielded Hillary Will's top fueler. I was also the secretary for a year or two and was responsible for tracking our drag racing points as a an NHRA charter club member. We won in '71 (I think) and I got to accept the trophy at the following Winternationals awards banquet. WOW! THAT was cool!
President Nixon sent me an invitation and off I went to the Navy. I dropped in on leave a time or two but the club eventually disbanded. The trophy was on display in Ed Richter's speed shop who unfortunately passed away (RIP Ed) while I was off in the Navy. The trophy disappeared somewhere and I would like to have it if anyone knows of it.
I would also like to have anything having to do with the club, pictures, whatever. At the time I ran a '69 Nova SS (have a '68 SS now) which was named; Nova II Late. I don't have a single picture of this car. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/frown.gif[/img] It was Matador red with the black vinyl top and interior. Do you have pictures of it? It was only lettered on the driver's side. I would also like to contact former members of the club if you are out there.
