Yep 69. With soft indent in the middle brass. If it was smooth that would be 67-68

shouldnt 69 up have a circle around the 15# like the AC has?

The original cap for my 69 Chevelle has the circle around the "15# RC-15" as Donnie says.

That one looks like the cap on my '65 GTO (built September of '64 in Pontiac Michigan).

Thanks Keith. I am also thinking it is an early one. I think it's correct back to at least '63 for A/C equipped cars but I asked because there is a lot of knowledge here regarding those caps.

Looking at the caps here made me check the spare I have and it looks like the OP's but no rust. It's suitable for a driver but was curious if these can be restored. The rubber on mine has about a 1/4&quot; chunk missing and is hard and brittle. Is the rubber seal replaceable by a novice or no?
