Default 69Z - front stance

Looking for some advise - for the 69Z, when looking at the stance -I always believed that they were a little higher in the front then the back....say about an inch. Is this correct?

IF so - is there a measurement from the rocker molding to the ground I should be using -

Finally - if I need to get new springs (mine seems to be lower in the front by an inch) - who sells the correct springs for the proper stance?

Thanks guys for your help!

Trim Heights are in section A10 page 0 of the Assembly Instruction Manual. There are 4 points to measure; at the rockers a Z/28 was .38" lower at the rear.

Have you read David's info re. Springs? Lots of good info there.

Look into Eaton, they sell the "correct" springs. http://www.eatonsprings.com/67-69camaro.html

Ed, just be careful, A lot of times other springs get put in boxes from the factory that are labeled 6308s. I bought a set of 6308s from Amazon, there were 6320s in the box. Luckily, me having a vert, 6320s are the correct spring for my car (verts have an extra 50 lbs on the front )

PS, and I like the back end just a little higher than the front, about 1 inch. May not be factory correct, but with 14" wheels and mono leafs, I need more height in the back

I would not change the original springs front or back unless really necessary. If the car really sags ok but otherwise its a can of worms IMO. Unless the wheel wells are 6" (just saying) above the back tires who would really notice?

Mine has original springs, the measurements at the 4 points are right on w/ the assembly manual, a little lower in the rear, I don't see many 69Z28's that have the correct stance, most are too high in the rear
